Flower therapy form a part of alternative medicine. They comprise a therapeutic system that uses dilutions of flower essences developed by Dr.Edward Bach to balance physical and emotional disturbances. In the world of flowers Dr. Bach found resonances of the conditions he found in his patients. He believed the right essence can help to bring back the patient to a positive, happy condition. Dr. Bach distilled the essence of certain flowers, and choose the right ones for the state of being of a patient.

It is a form of energy medicine to restore balance in your life. It can be used in conjunction with traditional counselling, and help heal negative emotions which can come from sadness, panic, worry, lethargy, pain without physical cause and much more.

Flower therapy is very similar to homeopathy in many respects. Except that flower essences are not dependent on the theory of successive dilutions. A Bach Flower Remedy consists of water that has been patterned with the energetic vibs of 38 different flowers. The remedy is taken in a cup of water, or other drink, 4 times a day. It is listed on the NHS Directory of Complementary and Alternative Practices.

    • I was just asking Bushka if he thinks I should try them. You obviously think I should then lilian? I was thinking they might cleanse the bad drugs that are in my system all the time. I guess a bit like a colon cleanse which I have just done 🙂

    • Yes, houseguy I am also a bit intrigued and looking into it a bit more in case it could help cleanse my system of all the c… that I take everyday 🙂

  1. I have seen quite a lot on this on Irish TV. There is a segment on a local discussion show that is always interesting. Alternative therapies can be excellent as long as they are used properly, lots of people think they can ignore safe dosage etc because they are natural though x
