Scientists now say that a piece of cheese a day could literally keep the doctor away.

Cheese can apparently boost the immune system as a carrier for good bacteria. So, if you eat pro biotic varieties of cheese, like Gouda, it will not only help to boost your immune system but also has been known to tackle age related deterioration.

Tests showed that people who ate the pro biotic cheese had an increased number of white blood cells, which help fight infection.

  1. Cheese care carriers of good bacteria and is very important in boosting up the immune system and thereby preventing occurrence of illnesses. However, eating cheese alone without proper infection control methods won’t keep a person from contracting an infection.

  2. My friend will totally love this great news. She loves cheese, but she cut down on the intake because she thought it would make her fat. There are a lot of misconceptions about cheese and other dairy products. But it’s great that a lot of studies are proving them wrong.
