Reiki is a complementary therapy which was named after Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanesee theologist, who discovered the art of this healing using and bytransferringg life’s energy. Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us.

It is regarded as life’s energy and creates a feeling of deep relaxation. Energy blockages are removed allowing a free flow of life energy throughout the body. Toxins are removed from the body with other waste products leaving the system much more quickly.

Then, with the toxins removed from your body, more energy can be received and your vital processors and functions become more highly tuned.

The hands are the main instrument used in the healing of Reiki and can be effective through clothing. It has also been useful for anyone taking drugs to help reduce some of the side effects of them. They say it is possible to heal acute injuries but chronic injuries can take longer to heal.

Reiki is a therapy available to anyone which can help the receiver of the therapy to a more relaxed approach to life and great harmony. More details on reiki are available from the associations website http://www.reikiassociation.org.uk/3.html

  1. Yes, very similar but not something that I personally found helped my pain but that could be because it’s ‘chronic’ and not ‘acute’ as I know it works for some people. 🙂

  2. Today when it comes to treating back pain there are a number of different back pain relief products on the market that a person is able to use. There are ones which a person can readily buy over the counter at their local drug store to the ones which can be prescribed by their doctor.

  3. I think back pain relief will be the thing that pushes reiki into the mainstream. So many people suffer with it that anything that gives real relief will become popular.
