Fancy That home

Be sure to wear cushioned, slip-proof shoes.

Ask for help. See if a family member, friend or neighbour might go shopping with you to reach those hard-to-reach items. Ask for help if you are on your own. My husband shops with me every week as most of the time I can’t reach the items and I do need his help.

Make a list and stick to it. I visualize the store’s layout when preparing shopping list. List items in order beginning where you will begin your shopping. That way, you’ll waste less energy retracing steps while shopping.

If you need to use the trolly to steady yourself as you walk around do so. I know for a fact that my Dad would be unable to do his weekly shop without the aid of the trolly.

If your alone don’t hesitate to ask someone to pack and load your groceries.

Take breaks, I’ve got Dad into a routine of doing his shop then having a coffee and a cake with his trolly before he makes his way back home.

Failing all of this, shop online, it can be fun 🙂
