Twilight is often known as the ‘magic hour’ that time in the evening when the sun has fallen low in the sky and the first signs of nightfall beckon. So why not enjoy this time by joining one of the 25 sponsored twilight walks across the UK.
Join forces with fellow walkers to support the invaluable work of Marie Curie Nurses who provide free care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families.
On various evenings from July through to September, participants will set off at 7pm, then embark on a leisurely ten-kilometre stroll. It’s not a race, but everyone aims to be finished by 10pm, when each walk will culminate with a celebratory picnic, entertainment, and in some locations, fireworks. The timing of the finale is poignant, as it is when many Marie Curie Nurses start their night shift in patients’ homes.
