CUT OUT THE NOISE FOR YOUR HEALTH…

Brass Band

Did you know that excessive noise can cause high blood pressure and cardiovascular problems, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) it can also impair hearing, reduce performance at school and work, and provoke stress responses that could lead to physical illness, anxiety and nervousness.

You can find the quietest room in the house, and sit there for ten minutes, trying to build your own special relaxation room. It’s like meditating.

Spending a technology-free day is a growing trend in the US. So why not try turning the TV or radio ‘OFF’ when you get up.

It will help you think more clearly, get a better perspective and reduce stress.

  1. I’m the same but I thought it was something to do with my Fibromyalgia but then Dad adores staying here because its so peaceful even though he is quite deaf. He lives on a main road which is very busy but it still surprises me how he finds it so different here.

    • I just LOVE it when it’s really really peaceful, my favourite time of day is around 3pm when I go for my rest and I close the blinds and my door and all I can hear are the birds which send me straight to sleep for a couple of hours. Heaven 🙂
