If you have been on your feet all day, you are probably familiar with the discomfort of swollen legs and feet.

What actually happens is ‘lymph’, which is your body’s mopping up mechanism flows into your lower legs after standing for long periods.

The best way to treat it is to lie on your back with your bottom touching the skirting board and legs vertical resting against the wall. You could also do this on your bed with your legs against your headboard if you find the floor too hard.

It’s actually a yoga pose and can not only help relieve the discomfort of swollen legs, but can also help with stress, relieve digestive problems, headaches, insomnia, varicose veins, menstrual cramps, respiratory ailments, mild depression, anxiety and even arthritis.

Try to manage doing this pose for 10 minutes daily.
