BESPOKE 3D PRINTED PELVIS…

Meridians

In the Health and Science section of ‘The Week’ magazine this article about a bespoke 3D printed pelvis really caught my eye.

Apparently a bone cancer sufferer who three years ago had to have half of his pelvis removed has had a new pelvis created on a 3D printer (reported The Daily Telegraph).

How amazing is that?

The bone that needed to be replaced was so big that a standard implant could not be fitted so Doctor’s decided on a bespoke pelvis to be printed.

Three years on, and the patient could walk again, albeit with a stick !!!

‘The Week’ magazine has pages of interesting stories not just on health but on the main stories of the week taken from news articles and world at a glance. Rather than a daily paper ‘The Week’ is a round up of all the news in just one copy.
