According to a recent article in the Daily Mail Good Health, a new light patch has been developed to help with back pain.
The patch contains light-emitting diodes, or LED’s which emit a special wave length of blue light which they say should stimulate the production of nitric oxide in the skin.
Nitric oxide they say ‘may’ help with pain relief in a number of ways by relaxing the muscles, widening blood vessels and increasing the amount of oxygen in cells, as well as removing toxins caused by injury.
The treatment is marketed as the Pain Relief Patch which can be worn for up to 30 minutes at a time.
Nearly 200 people are taking party in a two week clinical trial in Germany, comparing the patch with a placebo one.
Will save this for some research, Barb. How are you?

Seems to be for chronic muscular pain, rather than joints.
