Every day 440 people in the UK lose their lives to heart and circulatory diseases and yet 75% of cases are preventable.
The British Heart Foundation are asking us all to make one small change every day to reduce our risk of heart disease. Pop along to their website to take the heart month challenge.
Some tips to a healthier heart are to lead a heart friendly lifestyle, know your risk ie smoking, blood pressure, weight, blood fats, diabetes, genes or stress or get risk assessed.
Asda are offering free blood pressure tests during National Heart Month and can also offer free information and advice on heart health.
A most worthy ‘Cause’…..

I know Kate, you just don’t know what to eat. It’s definitely in our family so we have to be on statins for that reason but I try to be careful with my eating. xx Hope your well x

It’s such a good cause, but sometimes I feel discouraged because we’re told the same things over and over again, like eating well and getting exercise and not smoking – and yet so many people take no notice and still do all the things they know they shouldn’t, and then get sick … 😦
